WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Event Creative Designer will be an integral member of our Creative Services team, responsible for creating design solutions that have high visual impact, help present our brands and events to the public, and support partner clients in breakthrough ways. With a primary focus on the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix of Nashville, this role will also provide creative support for other MEM events and internal needs as assigned.
As the Event Creative Designer, you'll be an important part of delivering top-tier experiences to fans, partners, and teams across the motorsport world. You'll take ownership of key responsibilities, collaborate across departments, and bring energy and innovation to a fast-paced environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design print and digital assets (e.g., GIFs, ads, collateral, OOH, social, web, email) within existing brand guidelines. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
  • Receive job requests through Wrike from Marketing Operations Manager, Sr. Art Director, and Graphic Designer; collaborate with event operations, marketing, and partners to ensure all creative deliverables are met
  • Become familiar with brand guidelines, brand identities, and partner guidelines.
  • Support full-time designers, occasionally serving as a production artist on projects.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to concept and design campaigns for IMS events, INDYCAR, and IMS properties.
  • File and maintain project digital archives.
  • Participate in project-related meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Assist with digital assets and event marketing activities during race weekends.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and grow in your professional craft.
  • Deliver outstanding service to partners, guests, and colleagues

WHAT YOU BRING
We're looking for someone who's ready to bring great effort every day and is committed to growing with us.
Required Experience & Skills:
  • 0-3 years of professional design experience required; up to 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and some After Effects) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong people skills; able to foster positive co-worker relations.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and openness to feedback.
  • Innovative thinker, self-starter, and collaborative teammate.
  • Alignment with Penske Entertainment's core values and standards

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital or Motion Design, Digital Media, or a related field.

Leadership:
  • This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

FLEXIBILITY & TRAVEL
  • Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Extended hours required during race weekends and key event periods
  • Travel required to select INDCYAR events, as well as multiple trips to assigned MEM event locations such as Nashville, Arlington, and Long Beach, both leading up to and during the events.
  • Our teams work together to create flexibility that supports life in and out of work

  • Stamina to work long hours and must be willing to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends or evenings
