Summary

As the brand is growing, so is our team! Egglife Foods is looking for a Vice President of Sales to join the sales team, reporting to the Chief Sales Officer. This position will primarily focus on nurturing the egglife brand and own volume and revenue targets for their area of responsibility. The VP of Sales will deliver targets by executing the right mix of merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion and space growth levers in existing egglife retail partners and well as sourcing through and securing new partners through business development.

Essential job functions

Working with guidance and support from the Chief Sales Officer, but with expected autonomy you will:

  • Manage the top national & regional chain partners in your area of responsibility
  • Manage and directly lead a Retail Sales Manager and indirectly manage a Retail Excellence Associate
  • Partner with Chief Sales Officer to define annual plan & forecast with volume and revenue targets
  • Partner closely with Chief Sales Officer & VP of Marketing to ensure right marketing spend and tactics to support plan & deliver targets
  • Determine the appropriate sales support budget to ensure achievement of the annual plan and manage spend across the partner base in line with budget throughout the year
  • Collaborate closely with the top 16-24 partners in your area to develop joint business plans; identifying key strategies & actions that Egglife and the retailer will invest behind to achieve necessary volume & revenue targets
  • Leverage merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion and space (MAPPS) levers to drive egglife growth in the 8-12 retailers directly owned by RSD as well as coach the Sales Manager to employ the right mix of MAPPS tactics in his/her 8-12 retailers
  • Define the customer segmentation; identifying the target retailers and appropriate prioritization to pitch & secure incremental Egglife Partnerships
  • Work closely with new partners (and the Egglife Retail Excellence Team) to launch egglife with discipline & excellence, and drive sustainable growth
  • Partner closely with Head of Retail Excellence to ensure right coverage of in-store audits and engagement across retailers to deliver volume & revenue targets
  • Analyze retailer, syndicated, shopper & distributor data to support all planning, selling and execution activities across retailers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years sales experience, with Retailer/Key Account & Distributor experiences preferred
  • 5+ years sales experience within CPG industry preferred
  • Experience building and leading high performing teams
  • Track record of consistently delivering results
  • Strong category/product management acumen to instill confidence as thought leader with Retail & Distributor Partners
  • Experience analyzing sales and shopper data to build actionable plan
  • Creative strategist, exceptional critical thinker and problem solver
  • Exceptional communicator: verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Comfortable and able to succeed in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
