Job description

About Iru

Iru is the AI-powered security & IT platform used by the world's fastest-growing companies to secure their users, apps, and devices. Built for the AI era, Iru unifies identity & access, endpoint security & management, and compliance automation-collapsing the stack and giving IT & security time and control back.

Iru is backed by some of the smartest investors in tech-General Catalyst, Tiger Global, Felicis, Greycroft, and First Round Capital. In July 2024, Iru raised $100 million from General Catalyst, valuing the company at $850 million. Customers include Cursor, Vercel, Lovable, Replit, and Mercor, and Iru partners with industry leaders such as ServiceNow and AWS. Iru was named to Forbes' America's Best Startup Employers 2025 list for employee engagement and satisfaction.

The Opportunity:

As Creative Director at Iru, you will shape how our brand sounds, feels, and shows up across every touchpoint. Iru is building a category-defining company, and we need a creative leader who can bring a clear point of view to our voice, messaging, and campaign storytelling.

This is a senior leadership role with broad ownership of Iru's creative direction and brand expression. You will set the creative standard for our website copy, digital ads, out-of-home (billboards), direct mail, and broader marketing campaigns. You will work in close partnership with our Head of Visual Design, who owns Iru's visual identity and look and feel, to keep voice and visuals aligned and reinforcing each other across every channel.

You combine strong creative taste with operational rigor, bringing clarity, process, and a high bar for craft.
How You'll Make a Difference Day to Day:
  • Set Iru's creative direction across major channels, defining a cohesive brand expression that is unmistakably Iru.

  • Own Iru's brand voice and character, translating strategy into messaging principles and creative standards teams can execute consistently.

  • Partner closely with our Head of Visual Design to keep voice and visual identity aligned, co-developing the creative bar for campaigns and high-visibility surfaces.

  • Lead creative concepting and campaign development from early ideas through final execution, raising the bar on originality and coherence across formats.

  • Guide copy and creative production, ensuring Iru's writing feels sharp, high-conviction, and brand-right, especially on high-visibility surfaces like the website and ads.

  • Build and grow the creative function, developing the team and external partners (agencies and freelancers) to deliver excellent work quickly without sacrificing craft.

  • Create strong operating rhythms for briefs, reviews, and decision-making that improve creative throughput and quality.

  • Collaborate with marketing and company leadership to ensure creative supports business goals while pushing toward bold, differentiated work.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Proven experience leading creative for integrated, multi-channel campaigns, including OOH, direct mail, and digital ads, with strong examples of consistent brand execution across channels.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead creative and copy, and build a coherent brand voice that shows up in real execution.

  • A portfolio that shows exceptional public-facing work, especially ads and website messaging and copy.

  • Experience leading teams and partnering with design and cross-functional stakeholders, including setting direction, giving clear feedback, and making high-quality decisions efficiently.

  • A track record of strong creative partnerships, where the best work came from collaboration rather than top-down control.

  • Strong creative judgment and taste, with the ability to create work that feels distinctive and imaginative while still feeling like one cohesive brand.

  • Comfort operating at the brand-level marketing layer, not only product or feature marketing.

  • B2B SaaS experience preferred, especially in brands that value high craft and strong POV.

  • On-site 3x/week in our Miami (Coral Gables) office.
