Description
As a Christian ministry, we have the privilege of sharing the JOY of Jesus with everyone who comes to Camp Timber-lee. Part of that joy is having a beautiful 600+ acre camp where people come to find a respite in their daily lives.
From spotless buildings to manicured lawns and walking trails, maintaining world-class facilities is as important to Camp Timber-lee as providing quality programs and great service. Join a Facilities team that helps manage over 100 buildings on a property of over 26 million square feet of grounds.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for camp facilities; ensures that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, grounds, snow removal, infrastructure system maintenance and electrical trades work. Operates a variety of maintenance and cleaning tools and equipment; and performs related work as required.
  • Performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for camp facilities, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, grounds, snow removal, infrastructure system maintenance and electrical trades work.
  • Assist with material pick ups
  • Collect garbage and recycling
  • Ensures that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
  • Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
  • Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to coordinators.
  • Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions to supervisor.
  • Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
  • Assists with structural pest control measures.
  • Maintains records and logs of daily activities.
  • Assists with ministries special events, as needed.
  • Performs related duties, as assigned.

Positional
  • High School diploma or equivalent .
  • At least one year experience.
  • Able to lift 80 pounds.
  • Licensed driver able to drive tractors, trucks, mowers. Etc.
  • Experience working with CMMS, landscaping and outside vendors.
  • Some evenings and weekends required.
  • Basic understanding of federal, state, and local guidelines for building and grounds of camps (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to perform mixture of indoor and outdoor work.
  • Able to climb ladders and crawl under buildings.
  • Able to traverse the multi-terrain campground during all seasons.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire to be considered for this position.
