Full Charge Bookkeeper

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our busy auto body shop. This role is responsible for handling all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting overall business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and shop management systems
  • Post and process insurance payments and customer payments
  • Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records
  • Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Handle payroll processing and related reporting
  • Track and manage sales tax, filings, and compliance
  • Monitor job costing, parts costs, and vendor invoices
  • Work closely with management on budgeting and financial planning
  • Assist with audits and year-end reporting with CPA
  • Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping for all transactions

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Experience in an auto body shop or automotive industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software)
