Compensation: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour (up to $20.00 with relevant specialty experience)

About the Opportunity

Addison Group is hiring a Front Office Specialist on behalf of our client for a contract-to-hire opportunity within a specialty healthcare practice. This role is ideal for an experienced front desk professional who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment and enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients, manage check-in/check-out processes, and ensure a positive front office experience
  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls while assisting patients in person and maintaining professionalism
  • Verify insurance coverage and coordinate necessary referrals prior to visits
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, including conducting reminder outreach
  • Accurately input and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Prepare charts and documentation in advance of appointments
  • Support overall front office operations to ensure smooth daily workflow

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of front desk experience within a medical office setting
  • Proven ability to manage both phone volume and in-person patient interactions simultaneously
  • Strong preference for candidates with specialty clinic exposure (nephrology highly valued)
  • Experience working with electronic health records systems (Epic experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated job stability with consistent tenure in previous roles
