Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm

Our client is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their team in Cherry Hill, NJ. This is an excellent temp-to-permanent opportunity offering hands-on litigation experience in a collaborative and professional environment.

Whether you're an experienced legal assistant with 1-2 years of litigation experience or a recent college graduate looking to break into the legal field, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

As a member of the legal team, you will assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including:

  • Assist with pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, trials, and appeals
  • Draft, prepare, and electronically file legal documents with state and federal courts
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys
  • Prepare and organize discovery requests, responses, and document productions
  • Review and summarize depositions, medical records, and other case-related materials
  • Organize and maintain case files, legal documents, and records
  • Manage attorney calendars, court dates, and filing deadlines
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, witnesses, experts, and court personnel
  • Assist with trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, courtroom technology, and logistics
  • Support attorneys during trial and coordinate communications between the courtroom and office
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of legal assistant or paralegal litigation experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes is a plus
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn legal software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
