For nearly a century Clifford-Jacobs Forging has been a leader in their space providing quality services to the Mining, Gears, Aerospace, Energy, and Defense industries. We set the industry standard for quality, performance, craftsmanship, and customer service.

We’re currently looking to grow our team of Forging Engineers!

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Forging Engineer is responsible for project management, quoting, design, development, qualification, manufacturing engineering and transition of new products to manufacturing.

SALARY

$75,000 TO $95,000 annually, depending on education and experience

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering.

0 - 5 years related experience.

JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Development of forging and tooling needed to produce forgings.

2. Review and interpret customer and industrial specifications for proper processing procedures and compliance to all requirements.

3. Use knowledge of material properties in support of products produced at Clifford-Jacobs.

4. Review customer purchase orders for completeness and overall compliance to procedures quoted and written to process parts.

5. Work with quoting team to design preliminary drawings and generate quotes.

6. Manage continuous improvement projects for cost reduction and increased plant velocity using robust project management skills.

7. Confer with all different members of the Clifford-Jacobs team and the customer to discuss project specifications and procedures.

8. Make detailed plans to coordinate and direct projects in a timely manner.

9. Interact with all different members of the Clifford-Jacobs team and the customer to resolve quality related problems that arise using a corrective action system and problem solving skills.

10. Interact with business development, sales, and manufacturing activities as required

11. Interact with raw material and outside processing vendors as required

12. Review vendor certifications for compliance to customer and industrial specifications.

13. Write heat treat procedures for internal heat treat processes (normalize and anneal).

14. Support engineering team members as necessary.

15. Understand AS9100 and ISO9001 standard as applicable to the engineering job function.
