Job Summary
Responsible for the recruiting travel for 11 football coaches and prospective student-athletes. Must coordinate with the coaching and personnel staffs to coordinate flights, rental cars, hotels, and reconciliation of recruiting-related travel. Must trouble shoot and assist coaches due to unforeseen circumstances by adjusting, cancelling, or re-booking travel throughout the individual recruiting trips.
At the direction of the Assistant Director of Recruiting, assist with coordinating and executing on-campus visits, including official and unofficial visits such as junior days, spring practices, and game days. Assisting with the creation of itineraries for prospective student-athletes visits, specifically tailoring the schedules for each prospects' unique background, goals, and interests. Communicates with the football coaching and support staffs on recruiting visit logistics, details, and meetings.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Responsible for recruiting travel for 11 football coaches and prospective student-athletes.

  • Must trouble shoot and assist coaches due to unforeseen circumstances by adjusting, cancelling, or re-booking travel throughout the individual recruiting trips.
  • Responsible for recruiting travel for 11 football coaches and prospective student-athletes.
  • Must coordinate with the coaching and personnel staffs to coordinate flights, rental cars, hotels, and reconciliation of recruiting-related travel.
  • Must trouble shoot and assist coaches due to unforeseen circumstances by adjusting, cancelling, or re-booking travel throughout the individual recruiting trips.
  • Coordinates a variety of vendors from hotels, caterers, rental companies, florists, etc. for football recruiting events and visits.
  • Cultivates relationships between vendors and the football recruiting staff.
  • Maintain a database of invoices from these vendors.
  • Assist in training and overseeing interns; as well as participate in the management of the recruiting database.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of B1G Conference and NCAA rules and regulations as it relates to recruiting.
  • Follow NCAA rules and regulations for official and unofficial visits, as well as communications and correspondence.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach, Director of Player Personnel, and Assistant Director of Recruiting Strategy.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Business Management or related field
  • One (1) year of experience working in sports administration, football administration or related field required

Skills needed:
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of football fundamentals and rules of the game.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office and related software; high level of Internet research and engagement ability. (word processing, spreadsheets, database, Internet, etc.)
  • Excellent (oral & written) communications skills with ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to read, interpret, instruct, and effectively communicate complex rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
