Under the guidance of the Head Football Coach will assist with coaching, scouting and recruiting efforts, while adhering to NCAA, Mid-American Conference, University and departmental rules and regulations.Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- On-field coaching during all practices, games and off-season workouts
- Participate in all staff and position meetings to help teach/coach and develop players
- Breakdown opponent film and to provide scouting information to coaching staff and players
- Help execute recruiting and communication plans for prospective student-athletes
- Help maintain the football recruiting databases and accurate information
- Assist with official and unofficial visits to campus and scouting visits
- Assist the Director of Football Operations with other administrative duties associated with practice, competition, and football related events and projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience with an intercollegiate athletic program
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, and travel out of town.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of DVSport, PFF, Hudl and ARMS
- Proficient in the use of social media for communication
- Possess exceptional professional skills including customer service, organization, communication (verbally and written), and collaboration
- Strong working knowledge of all NCAA rules and regulations with an emphasis on recruiting bylaws
- Must possess the ability to meet project deadlines and work under time constraint and pressure.
- Technical football knowledge including terminology, schemes, and procedures that are used in football.
