Summary:
Lassens Specialty Foods Manager oversees Bulk, Meat, and Specialty Cheese Departments. Basic requirements include purchasing, merchandising, and maintaining standards. Ensures highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization. Orders, merchandises, stocks, cuts, wraps, packs, and displays product according to merchandising and quality standards.
Demonstrates passion, connection, and knowledge with these Specialty Foods categories and demonstrates a willingness to continually learn and expand knowledge. Must stay current on food trends, new products, and best practices in food preparation and safety. Must be engaging, offering customers personalized recipes and thoughtful feedback. Must be enthusiastic about sharing their expertise, providing cooking tips, and helping customers make informed choices, and enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Lassens Specialty Foods Manager also supports Market Department operations by maintaining clean, well-organized food displays and assisting the Market Manager with order placements and customer service. A Specialty Foods Manager may be expected to obtain extensive knowledge of Natural Foods and some basic knowledge of Nutritional Supplements including vitamins, herbs, amino acids, sports nutrition, food supplements, and health and beauty aids.
