Food Service Associate

A Food Service Associate, also known as a Customer Service Associate, plays a critical role. The primary responsibility of a Food Service Associate is to assist customers in selecting and purchasing food service products, prepares a variety of food items, maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards, and participates in the efficient functioning of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service:
    • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
    • Provide information about food products, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pricing.
    • Offer samples and suggestions to help customers make informed choices.
  2. Food Preparation:
    • Slice, weigh, and package various deli meats, cheeses, and other products according to customer requests.
    • Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other deli items following established recipes and guidelines.
    • Maintain quality control standards to ensure the freshness and appeal of deli offerings.
  3. Product Knowledge:
    • Stay informed about the different types of deli products, their origins, and unique characteristics.

  4. Cleanliness and Sanitation:
