A Food Production Planner is responsible for organizing and coordinating the production schedule in a food manufacturing facility. Their main duties include forecasting demand, planning inventory levels, scheduling production runs, and ensuring that raw materials and labor are available to meet production targets. They work closely with purchasing, production, and quality assurance teams to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. Food Production Planners often need to carefully coordinate production schedules with inventory management to minimize waste and prevent shortages. One key challenge is responding to fluctuations in demand or supply chain disruptions, which can impact the availability of raw materials or packaging.
