5 - 20 hours/week depending on programming (on an as-needed basis)
Job Summary
Responsibilities include food preparation, preservation, and repurposing; catering assistance including serving, bussing, transport of food and equipment, and set-up and breakdown of events; maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and off-site food preparation surfaces, equipment, and dishes; light office, errands, or other duties as needed.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Must:
Possess excellent customer service skills and a willing attitude
Have reliable transportation or ability to be on time to shifts
Have or obtain a food handler's permit from the Fayette County Health Department (Servsafe certification a plus). Funding and training for certification provided by department.
Attend orientation training
Excellent opportunity to gain culinary skills, network with experts in food related fields, experience in event coordination, and increase knowledge about food systems, seasonal menu planning, local purchasing, sustainable practices, and community outreach.
