About the Role:
Join the team at Pernas Plant & Flower Shop Inc in Princeton, NJ, where creativity blooms every day! We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Flower Shop Assistant to help us craft beautiful arrangements and deliver exceptional service to our valued customers.This is a permanent position, not a summer job. Candidate must  love flowers, plants, nature, being outdoors and a love of our 4 cats.  A clean, valid New Jersey drivers license is a must.Learn the floral industry from the ground up, opportunity  for growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with designing and assembling floral arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces
  • Greet and assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and gifts for any occasion
  • Process customer orders in-store, by phone, and online with accuracy and care
  • Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers and plants through proper care and watering
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
  • Receive and process floral deliveries, including unpacking and conditioning fresh flowers
  • Support daily shop operations including opening, closing, and inventory restocking
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a floral, retail, or customer service environment preferred
  • Genuine passion for flowers, plants, and floral design
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, customer-first attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 lbs)
