Job description

This is not traditional home care.

This is a highly interactive, activity-based caregiver role for someone who loves engaging with seniors through conversation, movement, and meaningful connection.

Full Bloom Memory Care® is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver who is creative and able to develop personalized activities that match our client's interests, abilities, and emotional needs. Creativity and engagement are important in helping provide a positive and enriching experience. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and enjoys building meaningful connections.

Our caregivers support older adults living with dementia and memory loss through person-centered care that focuses on dignity, creativity, and daily purpose. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys brain-based activities, conversation, and engagement-not just routine caregiving tasks.

Position Highlights

This is a hands-on, relationship-centered role focused on:

• Senior center outings
• Walking and light movement
• Brain games and cognitive activities
• Creative engagement and companionship
• Working closely with our professional dementia care team
• Supporting structured, calm, connected days

Think: cognitive interventions delivered in a warm, human way.

Ideal Background

We welcome applicants from both traditional and non-traditional caregiving backgrounds. This role is especially well-suited for individuals who enjoy building relationships and engaging others through activities.

Backgrounds that often thrive in this role include:

• Caregiving or memory care experience
• Social work or psychology
• Autism or behavioral support
• Mental health services
• Activity coordination or recreation programs
• Early childhood education or daycare
• Human services or community outreach
• Improv, theater, or creative engagement

Applicants with backgrounds in education, behavioral health, recreation programs, or youth leadership often thrive in this role.

If you are warm, quick-thinking, emotionally steady, and engaging-this could be a perfect fit.

As a Memory Care Partner, you will:

• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Lead simple cognitive and brain-based activities
• Encourage movement, walking, and daily structure
• Accompany the client to senior center or community outings
• Assist with cueing and supportive care as needed
• Communicate closely with Full Bloom's care team for guidance and continuity

Why Join Full Bloom Memory Care?

We believe caregivers deserve the same level of care they give. At Full Bloom, you'll be supported, respected, and part of a mission-driven dementia care team.

Our team offers:

• Top-tier pay for experienced caregivers: $25.00/hr+
• Consistent full-time schedules: 8-12 hour shifts, weekly pay
• Thoughtful client matching based on skills, personality, and interests
• Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid Time Off (PTO)
• Paid hands-on training in memory care and behavioral techniques ($16.60/hr training rate)
• Career development through mentorship and advancement opportunities
• Recognition programs celebrating our Memory Care Partners

A Person-Centered Approach That Honors You

We celebrate the individuality of both our clients and our caregivers. We take time to understand your personality, interests, and passions to thoughtfully match you with clients where you can build real connection.

Requirements

• Preferred 6 months of dementia or caregiving experience (family or professional)
• Reliable availability with a consistent schedule (e.g., Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday) including one ongoing weekend day
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Proof of work eligibility in the U.S. and ability to pass a background check
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Eligibility to register with the IDPH Health Care Worker Registry

Bonus Points If

• You've worked in memory care, senior living, or private duty home care
• You've been trained in Teepa Snow's PAC approach
• You want to grow with a company that values purpose, heart, and follow-through

Ready to Make a Difference?

This is more than a job. It's a calling. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact-and be supported by a team that truly values you-apply now to join Full Bloom Memory Care.
