As Creative Director you will be the voice and architect of our brand. You’ll shape our narrative, push our brand design system to new heights, and champion compelling visual storytelling while crafting messaging that connects emotionally with our diverse audience. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll drive brand strategy, oversee copywriting and brand design, and ensure our story is told consistently and powerfully across every touchpoint. This role reports to the VP of Brand. 

Your day-to-day:
  • Develop and execute our brand strategy with a focus on narrative development, storytelling, and copywriting excellence.
  • Lead the creation of engaging, on-brand copy and creative for marketing campaigns, product launches, website, email, social media, and in-app experiences.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and growth marketing teams to ensure all messaging and creative is cohesive, compelling, and tailored to our audiences.
  • Champion the brand voice, ensuring consistency and authenticity in all written communications and storytelling efforts.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of writers and brand designers, providing feedback and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Analyze audience insights and campaign performance to refine messaging and storytelling approaches.Co-own awareness metrics with growth. 
  • Identify and develop new storytelling opportunities, including partnerships, campaigns, and product narratives.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices in copywriting, brand design, and emerging storytelling formats in digital media.
  • Maintain the documentation of brand standards and guidelines ensuring all of our communications are on brand.
What you’ll bring to the team:
  • 5-8+ years of experience in brand marketing, with a strong background leading copy and design for digital products or consumer tech.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to craft engaging, audience-focused content.
  • Proven experience developing and executing on a brand strategy, including brand narratives and messaging strategies across multiple channels.
  • An inspirational and motivational leader with a people-centric approach, dedicated to mentoring teams to produce exceptional and innovative creative outcomes in a fast paced tech environment.
  • Deep understanding of modern marketing strategies, content strategy, and the unique needs of family, parent, and kid-focused audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and insights to inform storytelling and messaging decisions.
  • Experience marketing multiple products within a brand and as a key contributor in integrated brand campaigns encompassing digital, social media, film/video production, CRM, OOH, and new media.

Our stance on salaries

Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.

The estimated base pay range for this position in (NY, CA, WA): $140,000 - $190,000
The estimated base pay range for this position in (CO): $140,000 - $180,000
