Construction Operations | Project Management | Team Leadership

We are seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to lead the overall performance, profitability, and operational execution of our reconstruction division. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations, including project management, production teams, subcontractor relationships, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
The Construction Operations Manager serves as the operational leader for reconstruction services and is accountable for driving project profitability, developing high performing teams, improving operational efficiency, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a growing construction operation while partnering with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives and long term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Direct and oversee all reconstruction and construction operations
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to company standards
  • Establish and maintain operational processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Monitor project performance, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability
Financial Management
  • Maintain accountability for divisional financial performance
  • Review project budgets, estimates, job costing, and profit margins
  • Monitor work in progress, revenue forecasts, and backlog management
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance
  • Ensure proper utilization of labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high performing Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel
  • Provide coaching, training, performance management, and career development
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability measures, and performance standards
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and operational excellence
Project Oversight
  • Review and monitor project schedules, milestones, and production targets
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Resolve project challenges and escalated customer concerns
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and business partners
  • Ensure accurate project documentation and reporting
Strategic Growth
  • Partner with executive leadership to support growth initiatives and market expansion
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational capabilities and customer service
  • Assist in developing annual budgets, goals, and performance objectives
  • Support business development efforts through operational excellence and customer retention
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction management, operations management, or restoration leadership experience
  • Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of project management, scheduling, budgeting, and job costing
  • Experience leading and developing construction teams
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and operational metrics
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Xactimate and insurance restoration processes
