About the Job
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Operations Manager to lead and develop our field leadership team across drywall and exterior facade operations. This role is responsible for overseeing superintendents, setting clear expectations, and ensuring projects are executed consistently, on schedule, and to company standards.
The Field Operations Manager does not run projects day-to-day — they lead the people who do. This position focuses on driving accountability, coaching field leaders, and ensuring operational excellence across all active jobs. Responsibilities include oversight of schedules, budgets, quality control, and the ongoing training and development of field staff to ensure scalable, repeatable performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Personnel Oversight:
  • Supervise and manage field crews working on drywall and exterior projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to field staff, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct regular site visits in Northern Utah and Southeastern Idaho to ensure work is being performed to company standards.
Project Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of project operations, including setting and monitoring schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are controlled and that work is completed within the allocated budget.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the project runs smoothly.
Quality Control:
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds company quality standards and industry codes.
  • Inspect completed work for compliance with blueprints, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Address any quality issues in a timely manner, ensuring prompt resolution.
Safety & Compliance:
  • Promote a culture of safety on all job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that safety protocols are followed by all personnel.
Training & Development:
  • Lead and coordinate training programs for new and existing field personnel on safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to ensure staff development and improved performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Communication & Reporting:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between field personnel and project management teams.
  • Report project progress, issues, and performance to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with all team members to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Bi-Lingual is highly preferred

Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the drywall, and exterior facades, or construction industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven track record of managing field personnel and overseeing construction projects.
Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of drywall and all exterior facade, installation techniques, tools, and safety standards.
  • Budgeting and cost control expertise.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and work on construction sites for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must have at least three references.
Working Conditions:
  • This position requires regular travel to job sites in Southern Idaho, Northern Utah and Surrounding areas and occasional evening or weekend hours to meet project deadlines.
  • The role is primarily based in the field, with office time as necessary for reporting and training.

Compensation:
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
