Job description

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by
Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well... you might just be in the right place!
We're looking for a Senior Financial Systems Manager to join our FP&A team in North America. As a Senior Financial Systems Manager within FP&A, you will own Lightspeed's enterprise performance management (EPM) platform end-to-end and act as the primary liaison between Finance and the Data Office, IT, and broader business systems on everything that touches financial planning infrastructure. You will be the technical owner of Pigment, our new planning system, and a hands-on builder driving its architecture, integrations, and evolution.
What you'll be doing:
  • Platform Ownership: Own Pigment as a system, including data models, calculation logic, dimensional structure, security and access design, version control, and release management. Make the architectural calls that determine how planning works at Lightspeed for years.
  • Integrations & Data Architecture: Partner with the Data Office on upstream data quality, source system integrations, and the dimensional standards that flow through ERP, EPM, and BI. Own the integrity of how data moves between BigQuery, NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Looker, and Pigment.
  • Standards & Team Empowerment: Define the technical excellence required for our Pigment environment by creating robust modelling guidelines, scalable patterns, and best-practice implementations. You will also drive team-wide proficiency and confidence through the creation of comprehensive documentation and targeted training programs for FP&A.
  • Drive Strategic Impact: Collaborate closely with the Director, FP&A leadership, and senior partners in Finance and Data to convert business requirements into technical platform solutions. You will be instrumental in defining the methodology and influencing the long-term roadmap.

What you need to bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on EPM platform experience, with deep ownership of at least one of Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, etc.
  • Track record of leading or anchoring an EPM implementation through go-live.
  • Deep fluency in EPM data modelling: dimensional design, calculation logic, allocations, security architecture, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of finance source systems and data flows across ERP, data warehouse, and BI. Direct experience with BigQuery, NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, or Looker is a strong plus.
  • SQL proficiency for diagnosing upstream data issues. Python or scripting experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SOX compliance and its implications for financial systems, access reviews, and change management.
  • AI fluency. You use LLMs, copilots, and automation tools in your actual workflow, not just as a talking point. Excitement about what's next matters as much as what you already know.
  • Comfortable working across vendors, internal IT, and Data Office partners to land complex technical decisions.
  • Ability to write clear specs, requirements documents, and technical documentation that holds up under scrutiny.
  • Comfort explaining technical tradeoffs to senior finance leaders without losing them in jargon.
  • Cross-functional fluency. You've worked across Data, Accounting, IT, and business teams, not just within Finance.
  • Bias toward structural thinking. You know when to ship a workaround and when to push back and design it properly.

Nice to haves:
  • Fluency in SaaS and payments business mechanics is a plus.
  • Pigment Certified Modeler certification or equivalent platform credential.
  • Public company finance environment exposure.
  • Experience supporting a system migration end-to-end.
  • A FP&A foundation, not pure systems administration. You've built or supported revenue models, expense forecasts, headcount plans, or unit economics frameworks and understand why they exist.

Be a changemaker
You'll enjoy:
  • A flexible work environment that empowers you to do your best work
  • A culture that celebrates performance
  • The chance to make an impact in a team that's big enough for career growth, but lean enough to make your voice heard
  • Career-defining opportunities

Plus benefits designed to keep you happy, healthy and fulfilled.
  • Flexible paid time off and remote work policies
  • Equity options, because this is your company too
  • Contributions to your 401k. Your future matters
  • Training opportunities to grow your skills and career
  • Health and wellness credit so you feel your best
  • Time off to volunteer and give back to your community
  • Interest groups, employee led networks, social committees to sponsored sports teams
  • Computer purchase program to get your personal Macbook
  • Enhanced parental leave to support growing families

Fuel your growth. Find your people.
At Lightspeed, your growth is our priority. We invest in you with continuous learning opportunities, global mobility and benefits designed to support you-all within a driven, diverse and inclusive team that's passionate about empowering our communities.
At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skillset, qualifications, experience, and market data. Lightspeed also provides a variety of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, wellness, life and disability insurance, 401K plan and match, paid parental leave top-up, and paid time off.
Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within the United States, and refers to the amount Lightspeed is willing to pay at the time of this posting, which may vary depending on the candidate's actual location.
