Job description
The Wisconsin School of Business is recruiting for an Academic Program Manager (APM) to support the Finance, Investment, and Banking Department. The APM plays a key leadership role in supporting their department's academic and administrative operations, overseeing academic program planning, course scheduling, and instructor assignments, while providing comprehensive administrative and operational support. The APM will lead academic program initiatives and events; support faculty activities-including promotion and review processes; and manage critical administrative functions such as curriculum updates, expense processing, financial coordination, and other departmental procedures. Working closely with the Department Chair, the APM ensures the smooth functioning of the unit through effective communication, streamlined processes, and strong coordination of information, resources, and activities.
Key Job Responsibilities:- May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
- Serves as the liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups to identify and maintain academic program-related partnerships
- Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and academic program objectives
- Evaluates existing academic program strategy and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program enhancement
- May manage the unit budget and approve unit expenditures
- Assists stakeholders with preparing and/or maintaining documentation, financial management, and/or reporting requirements related to sponsored grants, contracts, or agreements
- Manages degree programs and/or certificates, high impact practice programming and events, and curriculum development and implementation
- Provides full service advising resources and services, provides information about educational options and academic requirements, and communicates directly with students regarding all aspects of the advising process
- Leads the development and implementation of academic program initiatives

Compensation:The minimum salary for the position is $61,000. Actual starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in an office environment.
