Mochi Health

San Francisco, CA

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, PTO

Posted 12 days ago

Job description

Healthcare is broken at the first step: patients can't find the right care, understand what it costs, or access the medications they need. Mochi Health is fixing this.

We're building an AI-driven marketplace that makes healthcare discoverable—connecting patients to the right providers, transparent pharmacy pricing, and affordable medications. Over the past few years, we've grown rapidly by combining clinical expertise with technology that actually works for real people, not just hospital systems.

Our platform does what legacy healthcare can't: it gives patients transparent pricing before they pay, personalized medication management that follows them across providers, and long-term access to their own medical records. We're proving that healthcare can be more affordable, more human, and far more intuitive than what exists today.

Join a team that's rebuilding healthcare from the patient up. At Mochi Health, you'll work alongside people who value bold thinking, inclusive collaboration, and getting meaningful work into the world. If you want to do the most impactful work of your career, this is where to do it.

$150,000 - $220,000
Full-time / Onsite (5 days/week)

About The Role

We're hiring a high-judgment, execution-oriented Data Manager to run the Data team day to day. This person will drive execution across analytics, data engineering, and operational data work; ensure team goals stay tightly aligned to company priorities; track the KPIs that matter most; and help the team focus on the highest-leverage work across the business.

This is a people-and-execution role with real technical depth. The right person can review SQL and Python code, pressure-test technical approaches, and help the team make smart, durable tradeoffs around speed, quality, and complexity. You should also be comfortable using modern AI tools to move faster on analysis, project execution, documentation, and code review.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of the Data team, ensuring projects are well scoped, prioritized, and delivered on time
  • Set clear goals for team members, track progress against those goals, and maintain visibility into key team and business KPIs
  • Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, growth, finance, and leadership to translate business needs into high-quality data work
  • Review technical work including SQL, Python, dashboards, data models, and design docs to maintain quality, reliability, and appropriate handling of sensitive data
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of team members
  • Help ensure data practices meet privacy, security, and compliance requirements, including access controls, safe data usage, and audit-ready processes
Who You Are
  • 4+ years of experience in data or analytics roles, with experience leading projects, driving execution, and reviewing technical work.
  • Experience managing technical or analytics work, either as a people manager or as a high-ownership tech lead with strong cross-functional influence
  • Ability to read and review code, especially SQL and Python, and give useful feedback on technical quality, scope, and reliability
  • Sound judgment around data privacy, security, and compliance, especially in environments with sensitive user or patient data
  • Highly organized, operationally strong, and comfortable using AI tools to move faster, improve team leverage, and raise the bar across analysis, execution, documentation, and code review
Bonus Points
  • Experience managing analysts, analytics engineers, or data engineers
  • Experience building KPI frameworks, operating cadences, or leadership reporting
  • Experience in healthcare, fintech, or another operationally complex, high-accountability environment
