Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Lead Financial Data Analyst to support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization at our Global Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. The Lead Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for driving enterprise analytics, reporting strategy, and data-driven decision making across the organization and beyond.

This role will lead the development of scalable reporting solutions, KPI frameworks, data models, and analytical capabilities that enable business leaders to understand performance drivers, identify opportunities, and make informed strategic decisions. The Lead Financial Data Analyst will serve as a key partner to Finance, Sales, Operations, Accounting, IT, and Data teams to improve data accessibility, governance, and analytical maturity across the organization. 


Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain executive-level FP&A reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI, Excel, and ERP systems.

  • Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.

  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Accounting, Operations, IT, and internal data teams to establish data governance standards, business definitions, and reporting consistency across enterprise metrics.

  • Lead the development and automation of data models, reporting processes, and business intelligence tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve data integration, reporting architecture, and data structures that support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs by identifying data quality issues and implementing process improvements.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, enhance data accessibility, and improve the overall effectiveness of business intelligence and analytics capabilities. 


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field required

  • Minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA required
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in data analytics, business intelligence, FP&A reporting, financial analytics, or a related analytical role required

  • Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, including dashboard development, data modeling, and visualization platforms required

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar enterprise applications required

  • Experience designing and maintaining dimensional data models, semantic layers, or enterprise reporting datasets required

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis required 

  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Finance, FP&A, Sales, Operations, or Accounting organizations

  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting and decision-making processes

  • Knowledge of enterprise data platforms and cloud-based analytics environments, including Denodo, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, or similar technologies

  • Proficiency with Python, R or other analytical automation tools preferred

  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance frameworks

  • Experience implementing reporting automation and self-service business intelligence solutions
