Job description

Join a high-impact Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Payments team where you partner with senior leaders to shape strategy, accelerate responsible AI and data investments, and drive measurable business outcomes. You'll influence decisions that matter, helping us serve clients globally while building scalable, well-governed processes that unlock productivity and growth.

As a Finance & Business Manager Lead in CIB Payments, you partner with the Global Head of Payments Data & Analytics to lead Finance & Business Management (F&BM) governance, strategic planning, and investment decisions. You will collaborate closely with senior product managers to build multi-year business cases, align with Payments strategy, and deliver executive-ready insights that inform technology and AI investments. Your work enables disciplined financial management, resource optimization, and transparent program governance across an evolving, global organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior product and technology managers to build rigorous financial business cases aligned to strategy.
  • Oversee forecasting processes and measure results against defined objectives and key results.
  • Communicate year-on-year spend and support multi-year financial and resource planning.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations on strategy, budget, investment decisions, and project delivery.
  • Drive large-scale productivity agendas; identify and execute cost-saving opportunities.
  • Organize required reporting and materials for business review sessions.
  • Develop multi-year staffing plans and drive location strategy to optimize delivery.
  • Provide oversight of the team's strategic agenda, including 6-quarter planning and prioritization.
  • Produce management information reports on expenses, delivery milestones, and governance outcomes.
  • Track and communicate the status, risks, and achievements of the technology group to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across Payments and Finance to improve processes and deliver scalable business solutions.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in business management with a strong financial management background in product or technology-led environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel with the ability to organize and present content clearly to senior audiences.
  • Excellent presentation skills and executive communication, including building professional, visually compelling narratives.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize insights across sources.
  • Excellent relationship-building and influence skills; ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Familiarity with P&L management and portfolio governance tools to oversee investments and business cases.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Knowledge of Payments, Data, and AI products and capabilities.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft visually appealing presentations that communicate key messages and insights.
  • Experience synthesizing complex data from multiple sources into clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
  • Proven collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather, interpret, and operationalize data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience supporting multi-year planning, OKR development, and investment governance.
  • Exposure to large-scale productivity programs and cost optimization initiatives.
