Job description

Data Associate

The Data Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, organization, and processing of transaction batches. This role supports the Accounting and Compensation teams by ensuring data accuracy, maintaining organized records, and complying with internal controls and processing standards. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and batch high volumes of transactions, documents, or data accurately and within established timelines 

  • Review transaction for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization prior to batching 

  • Update and upload batched data into systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures 

  • Reconcile batch totals and investigate and resolve discrepancies 

  • Maintain organized batching logs, reports, and supporting documentation 

  • Coordinate with Accounting and other departments to resolve batching issues or missing information 

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and processing deadlines 

  • Support month-end and year-end close activities as needed 

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing batching documentation and explanations 

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 

  • Experience in data entry, batching, or transaction processing preferred 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines 

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data processing systems 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills 

Preferred Skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
