Your Mission:
This role provides support in financial reporting and analysis to all levels of the business, both internally and for external customers. Work includes collecting, recording, and analyzing financial statements and conducting financial and business performance analysis. Duties may also include providing support to external customers related to accounting procedures and financial analysis. The ability to clearly present findings of complex financial analysis to non-financially oriented stakeholders is required. This position will handle confidential and proprietary information.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Provides advanced financial and business analysis support to the company. Work assignments are of the greatest difficulty and largest financial impact. Provides direction to other staff in the department with respect to project approach and data acquisition. Assists with managing and completing reporting processes. May supervise more junior staff and provide guidance as necessary.
Who You Are:
  • Prepare forecasts and pro-forma analysis of various business initiatives to guide the operations of the company.
  • Analyze profitability and efficiency of distribution centers, including capital investment analysis, productivity analysis of warehousing, and optimization of the transportation network.
  • Assists with managing and completing the sales and other business key performance indicators reporting process.
  • Projects vary widely in scope, but typical projects include analysis of tests, operational initiatives, supply chain initiatives, price point analysis, and other general business issues.
  • Assist franchisees with compliance to franchise agreements, utilization of financial reporting systems, adherence to public policies, and understanding of accounting and financial systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in critical financial systems that support and enhance effective operations, including ProfitKeeper and the new warehouse management system.
  • Participate in the cross-functional meetings across the company, acting as a representative of the finance department.
  • Consult with non-financial business partners, providing sound financial advice and support as requested.
    Collaborate with the Data Warehouse (Information Technology) team to ensure that the structure and functionality of the electronic data warehouse supports the organizations analysis needs.
  • Manage and further refine operational and financial dashboards to highlight the company performance against KPIs. Facilitate the flow of information across the business.
  • Assist leadership with the preparation of various presentations including the global business conference presentations. Provide data and analysis to other departments to support their business conference presentations.
  • This position also serves as a liaison in aligning and supporting overlapping strategic priorities across the company.
  • May be the direct supervisor of more junior analysts, clerks, coordinators, etc.
  • Train and mentor the junior analysts.
  • Deliver formal presentations to franchisees at the regional franchise meetings or global business conference.

Requited Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Business or a related degree. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • High aptitude for advanced data analysis.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a role requiring in-depth experience with analytical tools, techniques, and financial reporting systems.
  • Able to operate at a high-level of critical thinking and problem solving while working cross-functionally with other teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions based on sound business acumen and decision-making practices.
  • Previous experience with development and maintenance of financial and management reporting systems.
  • Proficient in use of personal computers and accessing information in a network environment. Thorough familiarity, at an advanced level, with the use of Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Including the ability to interact directly, sometimes with little or no oversight, with franchisees, cross-functional business partners, and management/leadership. Must be adept at preparing and delivering written communications, verbal communications, and formal presentations.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent degree.
  • Industry related experience, particularly with large chains.

Working Conditions:
  • Works in a normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
  • Limited travel outside of office to conferences and franchisee meetings.
