Job description

Job Details:
The Director of Finance provides financial and business leadership while ensuring strong financial stewardship within the Case Ready Value-Added Business Unit. The position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Finance Accounting and has a dotted-line reporting relationship with the respective Business Unit.
Responsibilities include:
  • Providing financial support for plant operations
  • Preparing and analyzing plant operations reports
  • Supporting Business Unit sales through financial analysis, margin reporting, and performance reporting
  • Managing sales accruals, SG&A expense rates, and related reporting
  • Preparing and analyzing Business Unit profit and loss (P&L) results
  • Reporting and analyzing volume, mix, and capacity performance
  • Reporting and analyzing working capital performance
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliations and related sales and operations reporting
  • Preparing and analyzing financial scorecards and metrics
  • Conducting category and customer pricing analysis
  • Identifying and implementing business process improvements
  • Preparing and analyzing quarterly projections
  • Supporting annual operating plan, strategic plan, and budget development and reporting
  • Supporting capital project preparation, analysis, and reporting
  • Managing and developing a team of financial managers
  • Ensuring compliance with Internal Controls and SOX requirements
  • Supporting system design, implementation, and rollout activities
  • Serving as a financial partner to cross-functional business teams
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 10+ years of accounting or finance experience preferred. Previous accounting supervisory experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Standard computer skills required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of business management and Finance & Accounting staff.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising and interacting with varying levels of Finance & Accounting and Business Management personnel.
  • Travel: Four or more domestic trips per year.
