Job Description:
Regional Credit Controller positions offered by Volvo Penta of the Americas, LLC (Chesapeake, Virginia). Evaluate customers by performing expert-level financial analysis and risk assessments, including in-depth balance sheet evaluations, cash flow projections, and stress testing of client portfolios. Monitor and prepare credit cases for Local and Global Credit Committees. Articulate the strengths and weaknesses of credit cases and develop bridges to meet business needs. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, local regulatory requirements as well as Volvo Group and Volvo Penta internal requirements. Oversee credit insurance, regulatory adherence, and international risk mitigation frameworks to protect corporate financial interests. Collaborate with the Legal team on contract negotiations involving letters of credit, collateral structures and inter-creditor agreements. Proactively identify actions to improve performance, communicate those effectively and drive the changes cross-functionally together with the Sales and Order Management Departments to optimize business while assessing risk. Responsible for month-end reports and forecast of receivables. Develop and execute A/R strategies to optimize liquidity, mitigate risk, and maximize financial performance. Define actions in case of overdue accounts. Support and coordinate collection activities with ACC shared service center staff and sales organization. Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Volvo Performance System (VPS) and digital transformation, leveraging advanced financial analytics tools (SAP, Power Query and Power BI).
Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and 8 years of experience working in credit risk management, selection of trade finance partners, and financial strategy.
  • Must have 8 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Working in multinational credit operations, overseeing large-scale financial portfolios
  • Performing financial modeling, quantitative risk analysis, and advanced regulatory complianc
  • Working with U.S. and international credit regulations, ensuring full compliance with financial governance standards.
  • Must have 5 years of experience using SAP Master Finance or Credit Portal module and performing credit risk assessment for efficient financial data analysis.
  • Must have 2 years of experience using a data visualization tool
  • Position reports to Chesapeake, VA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
  • Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
