Who will you be working with?
Completes the final assembly of bus door panels or kits for direct shipment to customers. Follows blueprints, routers, process standard sheets (PSS), bills of material (BOM's), Team Leader and supervisor instructions to assemble a wide variety of door panels with many and varied options or add-ons.
What do we want to know about you?
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Uses prints, BOM's and PSS's to assembly product.
• Job requires up to 1 year for acceptable proficiency on all job-related tasks.
What will your typical day look like?
• Starting with a fabricated door panel and working with hand tools, light pneumatic, and electric power tools, attaches roller brackets to door panel.
• Physically pulls or uses special automatic puller to install extruded rubber seals into door channels.
• Attaches hinges to the door using a nut driver.
• Measures and cuts rubber for sensitive edge and installs into door channel. Routes and runs wire into sensitive edge.
• Installs glass window(s) into door panel and attaches CLASS sensors to door if called for in print.
• Attaches brush seals to panel base and mounts cover plate over brush mount and assembles shaft and are to the door panel.
• Performs spray paint touch up of panel where necessary and applies caulk and adhesives when appropriate to door panel and installs handles onto panel if specified in print.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
