Job description

Salesforce Developer

Apex is looking for a Salesforce Developer will be responsible for understanding current sales and marketing process workflows and working with stakeholders to identify and provide recommendations for improvements.

This position will work closely with marketing, accounting, IT, and web resources to help execute process and program improvements that will increase the availability of information to internal stakeholders and provide improved workflows for all involved parties, including our partners and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as system owner of our Salesforce CRM environment, supporting 100+ users over three organizations.
  • Understand and document current sales processes and workflows as they relate to our Salesforce CRM.
  • Identify areas of improvement and coordinate with stakeholders and affected groups to identify risks, create a process improvement plan, gain buy-in from executive management and complete process improvement projects
  • Acts as a resource within the sales team to help manage new technology integration and purchase decisions
  • Create standard measurements and tracking tools and make them available for sales team, executives and stakeholders
  • Work with internal stakeholders and outside vendors to accurately convey our challenges and desired outcome in order to scope a project and create project requirements
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to either build internally or direct a third party to create improved connectivity between systems such as our accounting, CRM, Marketing Automation and home-grown license management system or between public facing systems such as our trial application system and our license management system
  • Analyze data to determine trends, recognize areas of concern and suggest improvements
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as requested
Requirements

  • Able to work under tight deadlines with a high attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience in identifying and implementing process improvements, providing data analysis and managing cross-department project teams and/or outside vendors
  • 3+ years acting as a developer for a Salesforce CRM instance
  • Salesforce.com Admin Certification or equivalent hands on experience as a Salesforce administrator
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications
  • Working knowledge of SQL, FileMaker, Tableau and/or other data analysis tools
  • Experience using data driven methods to analyze and solve business situations
  • An understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
  • Experience working in a software sales environment and/or with international subsidiaries/distribution partners
  • Working knowledge of database creation and management
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience working with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
