We are currently seeking a Weekend Shift Quality Assurance Technician to ensurel quality within the plant. This position is responsible for ensuring that our WIP and finished goods materials are being manufactured within design tolerances, accepted decoration placement standards, and that they meet the high level of quality that our end users expect from our brands.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Audit of WIP, Finished Goods, and Prototypes

  • Measure garments to ensure they are correct per design specs
  • Measure decoration locations to ensure correct placement within a defined tolerance
  • Ensure that garments, including logos/decorations are visually free of defects and that what is physically on the garment matches the paperwork/order

Participation in out-of-spec and failure investigations

  • Working with a cross-functional team to do root cause analysis and establish corrective measures
  • Re-visiting existing documentation and determining if revisions are required to help eliminate future recurrences of issues.

Production issue recording

  • Update the Manufacturing Engineer of consistent issues on as needed basis, minimally once a week Maintaining electronic files of inspection data collected
  • Record photo documentation with common issues found in production

This role requires:

  • Documenting and recording information and being organized
  • Familiarity with computer technology. Prior use of Excel, Outlook, Teams & Filemaker is a plus.
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to accurately differentiate between colors and shades is essential for tasks such as color matching, quality inspection, and ensuring the correct application of designs.
  • Must have excellent vision to identify small details and defects on garments and decorations.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for detailed inspections and measurements.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Able to work well with others, especially in circumstances where technician needs to make an operator aware of a defect/error in the operator’s work.

  • Ability to prioritize work and take direction from manager when priorities change
  • Dependability: Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and consistently fulfilling obligations.
  • Superb attention to detail: Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
  • Ability to train/cross train: Be willing to learn how to inspect in other areas and be willing to share best practices for inspecting in the areas you are trained in. Be open to change (whether in assignment, breakdown of tasks, etc.) and to considerable variety in the workplace.

The starting pay range for this role is $18-$19/ hour with a $15% shift premium at the time of this posting.
