Director of Marketing & Business Development

KTUA is seeking a creative, outgoing, and results-driven Director of Marketing & Business Development to lead strategic business development and marketing efforts in a collaborative, design-focused environment.

Key Qualifications

Experience developing and executing business development and marketing strategies

Strong leadership and team collaboration skills

Proven proposal management and persuasive writing experience

Excellent communication, organization, proofreading, and editing skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail

Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry

Responsibilities

Lead business development and marketing strategy meetings with firm leadership

Guide and oversee all marketing and business development communications

Manage proposal pursuits from kickoff through submission

Collaborate with principals, project managers, consultants, and staff to develop winning proposals

Oversee writing, editing, quality control, and content development for proposals and interviews

Manage social media content and marketing communications

Research and evaluate RFP/RFQ opportunities and support go/no-go decisions

Cultivate relationships with clients and industry partners

Track business development opportunities and maintain pursuit databases

Attend pre-proposal meetings and networking events

Support website maintenance, newsletters, presentations, and marketing collateral

Represent KTUA at professional, civic, and industry organizations

Experience & Education

8–10 years of related professional experience, preferably within the AEC industry

Experience with RFQ/RFP pursuits required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or related field preferred

Strong graphic communication and storytelling skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

FileMaker and/or Deltek CRM experience a plus

Experience with LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook

Compensation

$80,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience
