Location:ย Remote (Field-Based; National Travel as Needed)ย 

Position Summaryย 

At Praxis, patients cannot wait. The Director of Field Reimbursement will lead the strategy, performance, and development of the team to ensure patients can start and stay on therapy without unnecessary delay.ย  This position sits at the intersection of Market Access, Patient Services, and Commercial. ย In this pivotal role, you are accountable for building a high-performing FRM team, driving access excellence across territories, and translating field insights into scalable strategies that improve patient onboarding, payer navigation, and therapy persistence.

This is a builder role. ย You'll shape how reimbursement support is delivered, strengthen relationships with specialty pharmacies and provider networks, and ensure compliant, patient-first execution across the country.

ย Primary Responsibilitiesย 

  • Lead and developย a team of Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs), setting clear performance expectations aligned to patient impact and business prioritiesย 
  • Define and executeย the national field reimbursement strategy, ensuring consistent, high-quality support across territoriesย 
  • Drive accountabilityย through clear metrics (time to therapy initiation, PA approval rates, appeal success, patient onboarding progression, etc.)ย 
  • Partner cross-functionallyย with Market Access, Patient Services, Commercial, Compliance, and Specialty Pharmacy partners to proactively address systemic access barriersย 
  • Analyze field trendsย across payers, regions, and provider types; escalate patterns and recommend strategic interventions to leadershipย 
  • Build strong external relationshipsย with key neurology practices, specialty pharmacies, and access stakeholders to strengthen Praxis' reputation as a credible access partnerย 
  • Recruit, coach, andย retainย top-tier reimbursement talent aligned with Praxis values of Trust, Ownership, Curiosity, and Resultsย 

Qualifications and Key Success Factorsย 

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in reimbursement and access
  • 3+ years of direct management of field reimbursement teams
  • Demonstrated experience in rare disease and Limited Distribution Drug (LDD) models
  • Deep expertise in pharmacy benefit design (commercial and government), PA/appeals processes, and specialty pharmacy workflows
  • Experience supporting neurology or CNS-focused practices strongly preferred
  • Experience with inpatient access within hospitalizations and high-cost medication scenarios
  • Proven ability to translate field insights into scalable strategy and measurable improvement
  • Strong executive presence and credibility with providers, access leaders, and internal stakeholders
  • High integrity and disciplined compliance mindset
  • This role requires regular use of a computer and other office tools, clear communication, and occasional movement. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
  • Travel requirement: This role requires travel to support field team members, provider engagement, and internal meetings. Travel may range from 40-60%.
