Cirrus Logic is seeking a highly skilled Python Audio Application Developer to design and develop critical internal and customer-facing algorithms, along with configuration, calibration, and test tools, for our industry-leading mixed-signal ICs. In this role, you'll build sophisticated demonstration, calibration, and tuning tools, as well as testing platforms that showcase our IP, help win new business, and ensure system quality. You'll also collaborate closely with field application engineers and customers to integrate our technology into next-generation consumer products and provide customers tools for their development and production processes.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop algorithms, real-time testing and tuning software for Cirrus Logic ICs.
  • Build host-side Python applications to test, configure and demonstrate Cirrus Logic ICs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software tools, applications, and SQA.
  • Support customer integration and field engineering efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in audio signal processing and interfacing with hardware and drivers on Windows platforms.
  • Customer-facing development experience in the Laptop/Desktop PC space.
  • Advanced proficiency with Python application development, particularly hardware interfacing, and solid C/C++ experience
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with audio related electronics (codecs, filters, amplifiers, etc.)
  • Strong lab experience with acoustic measurement and audio quality evaluation metrics
  • Experience with classical machine learning techniques and modern neural network architectures for audio processing.
  • Experience with Matlab for testing, control and algorithm development.
  • Familiarity with Git, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and PyTorch.
  • Knowledge of debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, GDB) and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, etc.).
