To thrive as a Family Therapist, you need a master's degree in counseling, psychology, or social work, along with state licensure and a deep understanding of family systems theory. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, case management software, and documentation standards is essential. Strong empathy, cultural sensitivity, and excellent communication skills help build trust and facilitate productive sessions. Job description

The Director of Quality Assurance at Fam Brands is responsible for building, leading, and continuously improving a best-in-class quality program that protects our brands, our customers, and our consumers. This role oversees all quality assurance activities across product development, sourcing, production, and distribution to ensure that all products consistently meet or exceed internal standards, regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This leadership position involves overseeing quality assurance processes, managing compliance initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with Fam Brands' business objectives and growth plans.
  • Establish, communicate, and maintain quality vision, policies, and standards across the organization and supply base.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Influence senior leadership on quality-related risk, trade-offs and investment priorities.

Quality Management Systems

  • Design, implement, and maintain an integrated Quality Management System (QMS) that supports consistent, repeatable product quality.
  • Define and standardize QA processes, procedures, and documentation for product development, fit, testing, inspections and release.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety and industry standards for relevant product categories.
  • Continuously assess and improve QA tools, systems and technology platforms.

Product & Supplier Quality

  • Set product quality standards and technical requirements (e.g., specifications, tolerances, performance criteria) in partnership with Product Development, Design and Production.
  • Develop and manage supplier quality programs, including qualification, audits, scorecards and corrective action requirements.
  • Oversee in-line and final inspections, laboratory testing, and other validation activities to ensure products meet quality and safety expectations.
  • Drive root cause analysis and structured problem-solving for quality escapes and systemic defects.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, reliability, compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Use data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; deploy improvement initiatives based on evidence and impact.
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects that reduce defects, returns and warranty costs while improving customer experience.
  • Establish feedback loops with Customer Service, Sales and Retail partners to proactively address quality concerns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Production, Logistics, and Compliance teams to embed quality in every stage of the value chain.
  • Participate in line reviews, pre-production meetings, and commercialization milestone gates as the QA authority.
  • Support launches of new products, categories, and materials with robust risk assessments and testing plans.
  • Act as the primary internal expert for quality-related customer and regulatory inquiries.

Governance, Training & Culture

  • Develop and deliver quality training programs for internal teams and external partners.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and "quality by design" across the organization.
  • Stay current on emerging quality methodologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices; recommend and implement relevant innovations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Textiles, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma, Lean) preferred.
  • Significant progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management, preferably within apparel, consumer products or related manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record leading multi-site or global QA operations, including supplier quality management.
  • Deep understanding of quality systems, testing protocols, audit practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to Fam Brands' product categories.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify root causes and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.
  • Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement and change management initiatives.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to shape the quality strategy and infrastructure for a growing portfolio of brands.
  • Collaborative, fast-paced environment with high visibility to executive leadership.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.
