Job Description
The extrusion Operator will be responsible for operating equipment used in the manufacturing process of single use medical devices. The employee will have direct input into product quality and will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement efforts as part of our Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for operating in addition to assembling and disassembling multiple machines and equipment.
  • Will operate both manual and automated equipment.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble various machines and equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance on equipment is essential.
  • Ensure all products produced meet established quality standards.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic issues on certain machinery/equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects as directed by management.
  • Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
  • Participate in cross training opportunities and other activities as required.
  • Meet or exceed established production targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum education requirement of high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in extrusion manufacturing or injection molding processes a plus.
  • Demonstrates understanding of FDA regulations pertaining to medical device manufacturing.
  • Able to read, write and speak English.
  • Able to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to wear protective clothing as needed.
  • Computer literacy - able to navigate basic computer programs.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
