What You'll Do:

  • Safely sets up, operates, and monitors extrusion machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.
  • Completes extrusion machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.
  • Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
  • Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
  • Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.

What You Bring:

  • HS/GED required; HS/GED preferred.
  • 2-4 years' experience operating a Tandem Extruder .
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
