Plastics Extrusion Operator

Schedule: Full-Time, all shift schedules available.
Pay: $20-$25 hourly, weekly payroll cycle
Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working with machinery? Do you take pride in producing high-quality products that make a difference across multiple industries? We're looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team as Plastics Extrusion Operators.
Joining a leading, local manufacturer, you will be responsible for creating precision polymer tubing and hose products, used across a variety of industries. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment where quality, teamwork, and continuous learning are valued, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate plastics extrusion equipment according to production specifications.
  • Monitor production lines to ensure products meet quality standards and production goals.
  • Perform visual inspections and precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
  • Record production data, measurements, and process information accurately.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor machine adjustments and repairs.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and support maintenance personnel during larger repairs.
  • Mix raw materials, load hoppers, and recycle production scrap as needed.
  • Package finished products according to work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Assemble cartons, reels, spools, and other packaging materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Learn and operate a variety of extrusion processes and equipment as your skills grow.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or plastics extrusion experience is a plus, but mechanically inclined individuals are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read work instructions, setup sheets, and production specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
  • Dependable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout your shift.
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Frequently push, pull, bend, kneel, squat, and reach.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, and other required gear.
  • Ability to distinguish sizes, shapes, and colors and respond to machine alarms and audible signals.
