Job description

AmesburyTruth is an industry leader in window and door component manufacturing in Owatonna, MN. We pride ourselves on being collaborative and inclusive. We are currently looking for a 2nd shift distribution material handler to join our team on 2nd shift, with working hours Monday through Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm.

Starting rate begins at $20.30 per hour and will be determined based on experience. 2nd shift receives an additional shift differential of $1.00 per hour.
Position Purpose
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities for the day-to-day activities necessary to ensure on- time delivery objectives are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pulling, distribution, and receiving of components to assemblers to produce finished product necessary to fill customer orders
  • Scanning receiving documents and sorting incoming/outgoing orders and/or picklists
  • Receiving, stocking, and stacking
  • Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Work in a safe manner and efficiently to support the fulfillment of customer orders
  • Complies with SOP's, JHA's and departmental rules
  • May perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Accuracy of information and ability to follow a process through to completion
  • Knowledgeable of systems and processes and ability to learn necessary computer skills
  • Able to move pallets, load trucks, and move other items safely throughout plant as necessary
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. consistently and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Addition, subtraction and multiplication of basic numbers
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
  • Demonstrate care and integrity
Qualifications / Prior Experience
  • At least two years of previous shipping and/or receiving experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Work Environment / Other Requirements
  • Ability to work in a climate-controlled and/ or not a climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that are within permissible OSHA limits
  • Must wear Personal Protected Equipment (PPE) as required
