Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform semiskilled work operating a variety of extrusion equipment, operations include setting up machine

base on production orders, maintain production quality, obtain samples for quality control, labeling, and

packing of finished products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.

2. Perform the duty of setting up machine base on production orders.

3. Monitor material quality for any defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.

4. Label and pack finished products as it is produced on the machine per work order

instructions.

5. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

6. Must comply with OHSA safety standards when performing job duties.

7. Must be able to wear respirator to perform machine setup.

8. Must be able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.

9. Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with other co-workers.

10. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Must have schedule flexibility to work different shifts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year of experience
  • Ability and willingness to work in a warm manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable performing physical labor, including machine setup and teardown during the plastic extrusion purging process.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment (non-office/non-QA roles).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE, including masks or respirators.
  • Willingness to keep facial hair trimmed/shaven to ensure proper respirator fit and PPE compliance.
  • Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and work safely.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and patience.

Highly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous extrusion, plastics, or machine operation experience.
