Food Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Lobos Staffing is hiring experienced Food Machine Operators for a 2nd shift position! This is a great opportunity for candidates with previous machine operating or manufacturing experience who are available to start ASAP.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
  • Pay: Starting at $25.00/hour
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Experience: Previous machine operator experience preferred

Job Description

The Food Machine Operator is responsible for operating production machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product throughout the production process. The operator will ensure the proper ingredients and supplies are being used on the production line, monitor and adjust machine settings as needed, and sanitize equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate and monitor food production machinery.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain proper production flow and product quality.
  • Ensure the correct ingredients and supplies are being used on the production line.
  • Sanitize and clean production equipment.
  • Identify machine issues and notify the supervisor when maintenance is required.
  • Complete required production paperwork.
  • Follow all safety, GMP, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors and management.
  • Work in various departments throughout the meat-processing facility as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for 8–10 hours on hard floors.
  • Frequently bend, squat, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach.
  • Perform repetitive motions as required.
  • Work in a cold environment, approximately 30–40#176;F.
  • Work in damp conditions.
  • Work on slippery walking surfaces.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • 1 year of Machine Operator experience preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of GMP experience preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working in a meat-processing/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
