Job description

Overview

The Production Machine Operator I is a critical part of the production team to achieve day-to-day safety, quality and production goals.

Responsibilities
  • Has comprehensive assembly knowledge, and is able to perform all department assembly operations, including running automated assembly machines under limited supervision
  • Responsible for training and overseeing the work of assemblers and operators, communicating any issues to Production Supervisors
  • Responsible for the complete manufacturing process, including: the proper operation of plant equipment, quality assurance testing of finished product, troubleshooting process problems, making machine adjustments, monitoring raw material availability and inventories
  • Executes safety and 5S housekeeping
  • Monitors machine performance to ensure that all processes are operating correctly, and product is being produced to specifications
  • Records production and quality data

Trains, monitors and coordinates the work of Temps and other Operators

Qualifications
  • Safety Conscious
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience with automated assembly machines
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Proven skills to start up and run automated assembly and packaging machines
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions
  • Ability to lead and train others
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent team player with a positive attitude
  • Basic Computer knowledge (MS Office, PeopleSoft/MRP Systems, Database entry, etc.)
  • Flexibility

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Salary range for candidates based in California: $39,000 - $59,000

Salary ranges include base salary and annual incentive bonus if applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
