MACHINE OPERATOR

Shifts Available: 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM + OT

Location: Fontana, CA

Pay: $18.65/hr - $20.00/hr DOE 


A leading FSC®‐certified tissue converting manufacturer producing high‐quality bath tissue, paper towels, and napkins. We're looking for experienced Machine Operators who excel in fast‐paced converting environments and take pride in producing consistent, retail‐ready products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and fine‐tune high‐speed converting equipment (rewinders, embossers, log saws, folders)
  • Monitor machine alignment, web tension, and continuous‐web flow for optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot production issues using HMI controls and adjusting machines as needed.
  • Conduct regular checks for perforation strength, roll diameter, and embossing clarity to meet retail specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient production area

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of machine operating experience (within the last 5 years), ideally in paper, packaging, or continuous‐web manufacturing.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable performing minor maintenance and fast‐paced product changeovers.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read calipers/micrometers and perform basic mathematical calculations for production tracking.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Communication: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for safety documentation and shift handovers.
