Principal Accountabilities:
  • Direct responsibility for the day-to-day operations of running packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
  • Will be required to make process changes to the production equipment
  • Frequently assists other operators on the equipment
  • Operate mobile equipment including forklift, and pallet jack, and help replenish raw materials such as corrugate, stretch wrap, caps, etc.
  • Transact in plant warehouse management system/SAP
  • Perform operator care on the line
  • Participate in training, communicate, and follow up on what is needed for the production line to succeed
  • Complete all daily tasks and keep the plant audit ready at all times
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays and different shifts with advance notice
  • At least 6 months of experience in production and manufacturing
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift experience
  • Experience with SAP and automated plant control systems
  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of one-year equivalent work experience
