Job Summary
Aerospace manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Mill & Lathe Machine Operator to operate CNC machinery used to manufacture precision aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tight tolerances, reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and following aerospace quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision aerospace components.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from CNC machines.
- Set up and operate machines according to established work instructions and production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure parts meet customer and aerospace specifications.
- Make basic machine adjustments and offsets as needed.
- Monitor machine operation and identify tooling, quality, or equipment issues.
- Perform deburring, cleaning, and other finishing operations when required.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
- Follow AS9100, safety, quality, and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Meet production schedules while maintaining strict quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC mills and/or CNC lathes, preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of CNC machine operation, tooling, offsets, and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and quality-focused.

- CNC Mill or CNC Lathe operation
- Multi-axis CNC equipment
- Aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or other aerospace materials
- GD&T and blueprint reading
- First-piece and in-process inspection
- AS9100 quality systems
- Experience working with tight tolerances
