NC Mill & Lathe Machine Operator – Aerospace

Position: CNC Mill & Lathe Machine Operator
Industry: Aerospace Manufacturing

Job Summary

Aerospace manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Mill & Lathe Machine Operator to operate CNC machinery used to manufacture precision aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tight tolerances, reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and following aerospace quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision aerospace components.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from CNC machines.
  • Set up and operate machines according to established work instructions and production requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure parts meet customer and aerospace specifications.
  • Make basic machine adjustments and offsets as needed.
  • Monitor machine operation and identify tooling, quality, or equipment issues.
  • Perform deburring, cleaning, and other finishing operations when required.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
