Team Lead, Ocean Export
The Ocean Export Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the export of goods via ocean transport. This position manages a team of export professionals and ensures that export processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of export professionals
Develop and implement export processes and procedures
Ensure that export processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner
Coordinate with internal teams, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods
Maintain relationships with customers and partners
Analyze market trends and identify areas for process improvement
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
Manage and oversee documentation for export shipments
Develop and implement training programs for the export team
Educational background / Work experience
A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
At least 5 years of experience in ocean export operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Familiarity with export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and industry best practices.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in using computer software programs related to logistics and supply chain management.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
