Team Lead, Air Export

The Air Export Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the air export team, including coordinating with airlines, freight forwarders, and other service providers. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of air freight logistics and regulations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the air export team, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of cargo
  • Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and other service providers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of cargo
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and quality

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required
  • Prior experience in air exports and supervisory experience is highly desirable

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

 

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)

  • This role typically involves supervising a team of air export coordinators and other support staff
