Job description

Adecco is seeking an experienced Senior Air Cargo Operations Specialist for a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in air freight operations, compliance, and client service.

You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless movement of air cargo shipments while maintaining operational excellence and delivering high-quality service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of air freight shipments, from booking to final delivery
  • Coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, ground handlers, and internal teams
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or disruptions
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for customers and operational issues
  • Ensure compliance with IATA, TSA, and international shipping regulations
  • Prepare and review documentation, including AWBs, invoices, and packing lists
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with airline partners and clients
  • Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Support, mentor, and guide junior operations team members

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in air freight or cargo operations
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, incoterms, and documentation
  • Experience working within a freight forwarder, logistics provider, or similar environment
  • Proficiency in logistics systems and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
