Regional Manager

Full Time Exec Chattanooga, TN, US

OurPurpose:

The Regional Manager is ultimately responsible for meeting or exceeding the corporate goals of the specific region regarding project execution. The Regional Manager is empowered to represent the Company and its core values with the purpose of driving efficiency as the face of CROM to our clients. The executive team deeply supports the Regional Manager's efforts to ensure collaborative decision-making and directional alignment. The Regional Manager drives synergy with the Business Development and Execution Team to identify high quality opportunities to pursue within CROM's portfolio of essential specialties. The Regional Manager oversees all assigned regional projects to ensure that our execution team is honoring our commitment to completing projects safely, with the highest standard of quality, and with purpose-driven efficiency to meet the budget expectations.

  • Business Development/Bidding
  • Collaborate with Region Lead and Region BDM to search for new clients who might benefit from CROM's service offerings.
  • Work with Region Lead and Region BDM to provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education including technical presentations to demonstrate how CROM's services can meet client needs.
  • Manage and interpret client requirements to develop long-term relationships.
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Provide direction to the bidding team regarding strategies that will make the company successful and profitable based on CROM's core competencies.
  • Provide after-sales support services and provide technical backup as required.
  • Project Execution:
  • After the contract is executed, the RM is responsible for directing the project management team to efficiently execute the project in accordance with CROM's safety, preconstruction, and quality control plans.
  • Develop and manage relationships with general contractors and strategic suppliers to develop long-term relationships.
  • Oversee active management process for the regional execution team. Items to include but not limited to; weekly project coordination meetings, CCTS reviews, EPIR meeting attendance, submittal reviews and approval, site visits, schedule reviews and updates and support of the PM's and Superintendent's performing work in the region.
  • Minimize project slippage by proactively checking that start dates are accurate.
  • Ensure that no work is completed without a fully executed contract and/or change order(s).
  • Manage WIP preparation for all project managers each month.
  • Responsible for billings and collection to ensure all projects are billed properly and minimize the days outstanding of invoices (DSO).
  • Manage project recovery plans as required.
  • Engineering/Technical Expertise
  • Expert knowledge of the engineering design and construction details of AWWA D110 wire-wound circular prestressed concrete tanks.
  • Expert knowledge of the methods and materials employed by CCR for the modification and rehabilitation of concrete structures.
  • Approve final tank design and shop drawings to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Approve final approach and submittals for CCR projects.
  • Liaise with other team members during the project design and preparation phase.
  • Leadership
  • Active participation in company meetings and events.
  • Mentoring and training members of the region and others throughout the organization.
  • Professional
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, contractors, municipalities, and various local, federal, and government agencies to stay abreast of industry status and trends.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education, technical publications, educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Maintain or enhance the CROM's image through personal demeanor and business methods while honoring the Core Values.
  • Other duties as assigned, and as determined necessary, by the COO and CEO.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar ABET/EAC accredited program and 3 years of engineering, construction project management or construction experience OR 5+ years of engineering, construction project management, or construction engineering experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Valid drivers' license and clean driving record.
  • Completion of CROM field training.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed professional engineer.
Working Conditions:
  • Regular travel and overnightstays
  • Long or irregular working hours are normal to meet deadlines, secure deals, and attend conferences and networking events.
