This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the fastest-growing infrastructure companies in history, an organization that is in the center of the hurricane being created by the revolution in artificial intelligence.

"VAST's data management vision is the future of the market."- Forbes

VAST Data is the data platform company for the AI era. We are building the enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets and make them available for real-time data analysis and AI training and inference. Designed from the ground up to make AI simple to deploy and manage, VAST takes the cost and complexity out of deploying enterprise and AI infrastructure across data center, edge, and cloud.

Our success has been built through intense innovation, a customer-first mentality and a team of fearless VASTronauts who leverage their skills & experiences to make real market impact. This is an opportunity to be a key contributor at a pivotal time in our company’s growth and at a pivotal point in computing history.

The Role

We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to own and expand a portfolio of high-value, strategic enterprise accounts. The mandate is clear: drive direct revenue, expand footprint, and position VAST as the foundational data platform for AI and data-intensive environments.

This AE will develop and execute multi-year account strategies, drive large-scale transactions, and build executive-level relationships across engineering, IT, and infrastructure leadership. Success in this role requires the ability to operate at both high altitude (strategy, executive alignment) and low altitude (deal orchestration, execution).

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role focused on revenue growth and long-term platform entrenchment within some of the most important accounts in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Own and execute global, multi-year account plans across a defined set of strategic accounts
  • Map, build, and influence executive, technical, and procurement stakeholders
  • Identify whitespace, drive account penetration, and expand VAST’s footprint across business units
  • Establish VAST as a long-term platform standard within customer environments

Revenue & Deal Execution

  • Drive net-new and expansion revenue across assigned accounts
  • Lead complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles
  • Structure and close large, multi-year, multi-product agreements
  • Maintain disciplined forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and deal rigor

Technical Positioning

  • Position VAST for AI/ML, analytics, HPC, and large-scale data workloads
  • Partner closely with Solutions Engineering to design scalable, differentiated architectures
  • Translate VAST’s technical differentiation into clear business outcomes

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Executive leadership to support strategic deals
  • Provide structured customer insight to inform product direction and roadmap priorities
  • Coordinate effectively across field, partner, and executive teams to drive outcomes

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure or data platform sales experience
  • Proven track record closing $10M+ strategic deals within complex organizations
  • Experience owning and expanding large, named or strategic accounts
  • Strong fluency in AI infrastructure, data platforms, analytics, and/or HPC environments
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and drive consensus
  • Executive presence with disciplined account planning and deal execution
